In this course, students will learn how to write about research for academic audiences. They will develop an idea and initial outline for their M2 thesis and receive feedback and advice on their approach.
Description du contenu de l'enseignement
The course will provide support for students during the development of their Master thesis. In the first two sessions, we will discuss the basic requirements for the Master Thesis, discuss approaches that can help to identify a suitable topic and develop an initial outline and look at some examples from students in previous cohorts. We will also discuss the particular requirements of academic writing and look into some writing advice. The final two sessions will be dedicated to group work and student presentations to provide students with feedback and suggestions for their topic ideas and outlines.
